When do I have to give you any money and how much?
It depends on what work we are doing for you. Once you have instructed us you will receive a letter from us telling you how to proceed. You won’t need to pay your legal fees and other costs until we are ready to exchange contracts.

When do I pay my legal fees?
You pay your legal fees before contracts are exchanged. We will send you a completion statement identifying all of the costs of the transaction. Unless we have been requested by you to perform additional work these fees will be what were quoted to you at the start of the transaction and will not change regardless of how much work has been involved.

What if I don’t want to proceed?
If you don’t want to proceed with your instruction then you can pull out at any time before exchange of contracts. If you are purchasing a property you could lose any monies spent on disbursements (e.g. searches), however, there will be no charge for our legal fees up to this point.
